This is a four-months program that people work on their own wearable art and share it to study together in a monthly meeting. There is no assignment that people should work on. Instead, they have to come up their own design or pattern they want to work on. This program is for people who have been doing SAORI weaving for a while (at least for a couple of years) and made a few garments either with a teacher or on their own.  This is not a beginner sewer’s course. This program will be a challenge for people to sew up their woven materials,  try a new pattern, create their own pattern, and get some feedback in a group. I am not allowing people who use commercial patterns. I ask people to read the SAORI book and understand the concept of SAORI way of sewing wearable art.

I also ask people to commit to work at least one project per a month seriously with attending all the meetings as much as possible. People will gain knowledge, skills, and confidence to play with your woven materials and a sewing machine. I am sure that this will accelerate your understanding SAORI philosophy.

The Study Group is co-creation of all participants instead of a teacher-leading class. I am a facilitator of the meeting. And although it is not a class, I will answer all the questions you might have.
