[Seed to Fashion] Indigo Dyeing workshop @4:45

This workshop is dyeing a silk scarf with indigo fresh leaves. Seed to Fashion is a program that Mihoko developed and it is for people to learn spinning, dyeing, growing indigo, and weave a scarf with dyed yarn. In 2024 Mihoko will have a free workshop for spinning on 10/2 and weaving workshop on 10/4. Please go to the website of the Worcester Public Library  (www.mywpl.org) for signing up.

This Dyeing workshop will be at Regional Environmental Council (REC) because the YouthGrow members of REC grew indigo plants in their garden. The members of the program will participate this workshop as well as 6 people from the open community. 

Indigo plants are very special that it dyes fabric without mordant. Please wear a painter’s cloths and bring a bag that you will bring a scarf back. We will provide gloves and a silk scarf.  Age 10 and up. No experience necessary. 

it’s free but registration is required since seats are limited.
