June 25 @ 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm EDT

SAORI Kai is a gathering for SAORI weavers to share artwork and ideas. It’s open to public and free for everyone. It is a casual community building event beyond regular classes and the studio. Usually we do a show& tell in the group. Please bring your woven work to share. Depending on the number of people gather and the time limit, sometimes people share 1-5 pieces. You are welcome to share your experience honestly. This is an opportunity to actualize the one of the SAORI principles “Get inspired one another, and everyone in the group”. You will be encouraged and get inspired to pursue your creativity  for sure.

Mihoko will serve light refreshments. You are welcome to bring some snack to share but not necessary.

This time a studio member Chris King and his wife Pat graciously agreed to host this event at their yard where Chris’s art work can be seen. Alice Webb who is a longtime studio member and a landscape designer helped their yard a long time ago. It is  about 2 miles from the studio. Please bring a lawn chair. If you don’t have one, please let me know. RSVP is required this time. You may decide at the last minute. When you do, I will notify the address.

In case of rain, there are space under the roof at the porch.

Please feel free to bring your friends and families. We still need to be careful about spacing each other. Please wear a mask if you like. Let’s get together with cautious safety for everyone in mind.
