In this workshop you will learn how to make a simple hat with a rim as shown in the pictures. I will show one step at a time so you will sew along the instruction. This pattern does not require a lining. However, I use an interfacing for the rims because it makes the rims stiff. I will send you a rim pattern.

The woven fabric should not be too thick. It should be drapey.

What you need to prepare:

-Woven fabric 1 piece of 26cm x 74cm and 1 piece 30cm x 30cm

-Interfacing (middle stiffness) 1 piece of 30cm x 14cm

-Ribbon hatband about 1” wide 65cm

-Working sewing machine

-Sewing threads, pins or clips

-Iron
