At the Studio: 131 Highland St., Worcester, MA
Pre-registration is required for all classes. You may register and begin at any time. Course classes are normally scheduled at a regular weekly time, but you may work out a different schedule with Mihoko. SAORI classes are normally 2 hours long. Except
for initial Trial Classes, fees do not include materials costs.
These vary individually by weight of project. We provide your materials
at $1.50/oz. Trial Class: 2 hours long! Mihoko sets your warp up for you! Take home what you weave! First time only: $20 includes cost of materials. Repeat trials: $25 plus cost of materials. Basic
Course: $150 for 6 classes. Learn
to set up your own warp colors, and finish 1 or 2 projects. (prerequisite: Advanced Basic Course) Keep getting coaching from Mihoko and fellow weavers as you uncover your unlimited possibilities as a guiding spirit within our SAORI community! Intensive Basic Courses: given periodically or by arrangement. Do you live far from Worcester? This may be your best way to come study with Mihoko, then bring SAORI back home. Such courses can be worked into our regular class schedule at almost any time: you begin on Tues. 6:30pm and end Thurs. 5:30pm, adding an hour to a couple of classes in between. Once a year, usually in the summer, we also offer a special weekend intensive course. 2008 dates: Sat.-Sun. July 26-27. With advance notice, you can probably "home-stay" with volunteer host families from our local SAORI community! Limited scholarships are available for courses- please ask. Special family discounts for courses available. Parties or Special Group Sessions: normally scheduled on Mondays or Fridays any time within 10am-8:30pm. Fees vary with the nature of your custom-tailored concept - let's design something that suits your occasion!
